Coach Akilah, CCC — Autism Life Coach

Coach
Coach Akilah is an encouraging and dedicated cognitive coach with a genuine passion for helping autistic adults discover just how capable they truly are. She firmly believes that many of the challenges people face stem not from a lack of ability, but from a lack of belief in their own potential—and she loves being the person who helps shift that perspective.
One of the first things clients hear when they start working with Akilah is: "This is a judgment-free zone." Transparency and understanding are the cornerstones of her practice. Rather than imposing a one-size-fits-all method, she takes the time to understand how each client sees their world and builds strategies from that foundation.
Akilah excels at executive functioning coaching—bringing structure and clarity to goal-setting, accountability, and daily planning. She enjoys making lists, tracking progress, and offering grace when plans need adjustment. Advocacy is another core strength; she is deeply committed to helping autistic adults find their voice and express themselves with confidence and clarity in a world that often misunderstands them.
Before transitioning into cognitive coaching, Akilah worked in advocacy roles supporting individuals diagnosed with cancer. That experience gave her a profound appreciation for standing by people during their most challenging moments—a quality she brings to every coaching session.
One of her proudest professional achievements involved guiding a client from a state of being unable to leave their front porch to confidently pursuing and earning a master's degree through a hybrid program that required regular travel. Transformations like this are what fuel her commitment to the work.
When she's not coaching, Akilah enjoys reading, listening to audiobooks and true crime podcasts, watching Unsolved Mysteries, and taking outdoor walks in any weather.
