Chapel Haven Schleifer Center in New Haven is a nationally recognized program providing lifelong residential, educational, vocational, and social support for adults with autism and related disabilities. Their model ensures adults do not “age out” of services.
The Southern Connecticut State University Center of Excellence in ASD provides training and technical assistance for families and providers. Autism Families CONNECTicut offers social programming, and Connecticut’s DSS autism waiver (up to $50,000/year) explicitly funds life skills and job coaching.
